This is Max. He is a schnoodle- half schnauzer and poodle (both miniature). I adopted Max, at, Petland. He was born in Minnesota about two years ago on, March 11th, 2003. He loves to go hiking, and taking naps in the bathtub- tub empty of course. Also from time to time he leaves his little puppy prints on the bottom of the tub. Dr. Cindy Maro graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She has continued her studies in both conventional and alternative therapies in her efforts to decrease suffering and improve the lives of her patients and their owners. Her advanced studies have included nutrition, acupuncture, animal chiropractic, rehabilitative, myofascial and physical therapies, Veterinary NAET, animal massage, herbology, homeopathy, Bach Flowers and essential oils. She is a member of the AVMA, AHVMA, AAVA, IVAS, AVCA and serves on the Board of the AVCA. She has been a strong proponent of career shadowing, mentoring and school, playground and community programs throughout her years in practice. She sees patients for medical, surgical, dental and complementary care at both our Chippewa and Ellwood Animal Hospitals. Currently, she is seeing all new holistic patients within the practices.

Connie Glavan, LVT, has been an incredible asset to the Chippewa and Ellwood Animal Hospitals since 1998. Her thoroughness, dedication and attention to every detail make her a vital part of our team. Whether it is monitoring a post-surgical patient, accomodating an emergency by staying late or learning about a new treatment to be implemented in our hopsitals, Connie performs extremely well. Clients are often amazed at how well their pets relax while she is assisting the veterinarian. Connie is knowledgeable in all aspects of alternative and conventional animal care. She assists Dr. Maro extensively in Animal Chiropractic, NAET, Applied Kinesiology, Acupuncture and Massage and Rehabilitative Therapy. Her dedication to learning makes Connie a fantastic source of information for our clients.

Cassie Quigley joined the Ellwood Animal Hospital in the summer of 2006. She was educated at the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, and initially worked as a veterinary technician in Oklahoma. She obtained her RVT license while working in Oklahoma. Cassie returned home to Beaver County in 2006 and accepted a position at the Ellwood Animal Hospital. We are very fortunate to have Cassie as part of our technical team. She has done an outstanding job of providing both a high quality of care for our patients, contributing to our Public Relations and Educational Programs and offered her expertise in communicating on a daily basis with our clients.

Megan Kratz had been a client with her parents and 2 dogs for many years prior to attending the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh to obtain her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She joined the Ellwood Animal Hospital in September of 2006 as a staff member and has become proficient in handling hospitalized pet care, anesthetic monitoring and client aducation. She can most often be seen at our Chippewa office taking great care of patients, or educating clients in all of the aspects of care that our animal hospitals have to offer.
